Who we are

Highly Trained Veterinarians

Dr. Kristen Kulinski

Dr. Kristen Kulinski graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. As a senior student, she won the Schering Plough Internal Medicine Student of the Year award. She also has a M.S. in Animal Science (Equine Physiology and Endocrinology) from LSU in 2000, as well as two B.S. degrees (Biology and Psychology) from the University of Virginia in 1997.

Dr. Kristen’s interests include small animal soft tissue and orthopedic surgery and emergency medicine/surgery. Before starting the clinic in June of 2010, she worked at several emergency clinics, and in a referral hospital. She grew up in northern Virginia riding and showing horses in hunter/jumper competitions. She moved south for graduate school and has never left. She now lives with her fiancé Dr. Rhett Mouton, and her 8 dogs and 5 cats. She continues to ride and show her horses in her spare time.

Dr. Rhett Mouton

Dr. Rhett Mouton is a native of Lafayette, Louisiana. After graduating high school in 1997, he pursued a career
as a professional touring musician and music producer. After 10 years, over 10 albums, 1 major label record deal,
and thousands of touring miles later, he retired from the music industry and returned to college to pursue a “new life”
in veterinary medicine and graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. In addition to small animal medicine and surgery, Dr. Mouton also has a special interest in diagnostic imaging, equine dentistry and exotic pet medicine.

Dr. Allison Gordon

Dr. Gordon grew up in Lafayette, Louisiana. She graduated from the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. Her special interests lie in Eastern and rehabilitative medicine, and she also practices acupuncture. When she is not tending to her patients, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her six dogs.

Dr. Amy James

Dr. James is a Baton Rouge native and LSU School of Veterinary Medicine graduate. She worked out of state for the first few years of her career, and is happy to be back home in Louisiana. Dr. James has a special interest in dermatology and medicine cases. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her two dogs and two cats.

Dr. Theresa Gosik

Dr. Gosik is a 2006 graduate of LSU’s School of Veterinary Medicine. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but has a special passion for emergency medicine. In her spare time, Dr. Gosik enjoys gardening, crafts, traveling, snorkeling, and spending time with her dogs.

 

Dr. Dana Finney

Dr. Dana Finney graduated from LSU Veterinary School in 1998. She is a general practitioner who also has many years of experience in high volume spays and neuters. Dr. Finney and her husband, Kerry, are New Orleans natives who moved to the Baton Rouge area in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina. Dr. Finney’s pets include two border collies, one horse and two cats. She also enjoys playing Scrabble. Dr. Finney is happy to be a member of the Cypress Lake Animal Hospital team.
